It had seemed like a dream come true, winning those tickets. I mean, I never win anything. Even in school, those damn raffles we had every year for fundraisers? I entered every single one, most of them more than one or two times, and I never one anything. It starts as an itch. An annoying patch of red skin behind my left ear that I can ignore at first.
